Where have I been? Hiding, yes. But not from you, dear readers. I've been crouched behind a camera lens.
Manic Media, the online publishing company I own with my husband, recently launched a new travel site: GloboMaestro (a sister to our luxury travel news site, globorati).
GloboMaestro is a collection of ultimate travel experts: that is, top hotel concierges, who, for the very first time, are giving away insider destination tips usually reserved for guests. I'm talking tips given to guests at the legendary Plaza Hotel and the St. Regis, and Mandarin Oriental — hotels that are too rich for your blood and mine.
Our concierges offer these tips in personal blogs and fun, snappy videos. That's where the lens comes in. I've been traveling the country with my production team, filming the most exciting insider experiences in cities like Miami, San Francisco and, of course, my hometown New York.
It's been a fun ride. And I plan to share some of the fruits of our labor right here. From secret speakeasies to 10-pound burgers, our GloboMaestro videos will help you continue the mission I started with this blog: to take on the world, one bite at a time.
